Kiran has built up a large portfolio of his work by painstakingly rubbing, caressing and piercing paper with nails of his thumb and middle finger.

The range of his work is fascinatingly varied and comprises such diverse subjects as drawings of delicate roses, caricatures of Devi Lal, awe-inspiring figures of Lord Ganesha, perfect portraits of Jawaharlal Nehru and heart-stopping visuals of beautiful women.

Kiran presented his first exhibition at the prestigious Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Mumbai few years. After that there was no looking back and he had many exhibitions across Maharashtra.

The display comprised mainly his portraits and cartoon, bird and Lord Ganesha series witch a few drawings from his Rose, River and Crane thrown in for good measure.

Fingernail artistry is one of the most difficult arts. Kiran has created some thoughtfully conceived and aesthetically executed series like birds, Cartoons, flowers, rivers, Lord Ganeshas etc. A distinctive element of his work is his attention to detail. Kiran breathes life into the picture. He constantly flips the paper over, with a caress here and light push there, his nails seemingly having a life of their own.
